My Home is No Longer

You may remember my friend Lee from this post a while back. Well since then, the beyond talented Mr. Ferris has been cast in the touring Broadway production of Million Dollar Quartet as Carl Perkins. He's big time people. I'm pretty proud.

While he's busy for the next year or so touring the country, he and his cast mates had some time to stop and record one of his original songs while in Memphis (at the legendary Sun Records no less). Get ready for your mind to be blown.

AGJ on the move

I'm very excited to announce that AGJ is moving our offices to a swanky new building in the heart of LA's Jewelry District. Granted our new office is only 2 blocks away from our old office but it's huge step up (yes that is bold, italics, and underline all at once). I've been running around all week schlepping and unpacking boxes. I wish I looked as fabulous on the move as this Parisian girl does. Oh well. C'est la vie. Pictures to come soon.

Lovely Day

Sending everyone lots of love out there in honor of Valentine's Day. Have any big plans? My man and I will be having a mellow evening in tonight... although we already sort of celebrated on Sunday by going to a Swell Season concert at a teeny venue (this was our 8th time seeing them live. I'll admit it. We're groupies and proud). As always when seeing Glen & Marketa perform, it was magic.

Glen even performed a song that we've never heard before. He said he wrote it for his niece who complained that all of his songs were too sad. It's definitely not sad and will get stuck in your head. I love me some banana man.

I've been longing for a little four legged friend in my life for years now. My lease and my hectic schedule seem to be roadblocks to bringing a little Smoky Bear (my imaginary dog's name) in to my life. Lately the husband has been on board with the whole 'dog' idea and it might be happening sooner than later. What do you think he would say if we got a pet lion instead?

Awesome Japanese commercial

I don't know how you spent your super bowl, but I spent mine running errands and catching up on work. Even though I didn't watch the game (and the ads by extension) I'm going to go out on a limb and say there probably wasn't anything as cool as this Japanese cell phone commercial. I love everything about it... the simplicity, the engineering, the polished wood contrasted against the natural forest, the cell phone it's trying to sell me. Another point goes to the Japanese for pretty much doing everything better.

Whirlwind

After traveling for the last 2 weeks (up to Napa for a few days then off to NYC for my press preview and trunk show at Henri Bendel) I got back to Santa Monica last night.  It feels good to be home, sleeping in my own bed.  I'm a busy little bee catching up on emails and orders. I'll be resuming regular posts soon.

Parisian Tips

Inspired by these awesome YSL manicures, I decided to mix it up at the nail salon with a modern take on the French manicure. It seemed like a perfect match for my weekend at The Ace in Palm Springs.

The orange is Meet Me at Sunset and the pink is Raspberry, both by Essie.
