Love and Thanks
Phew... almost 2 months after our wedding and we're finally almost done with all of our thank you cards. I now consider myself a thank you card pro. For future TYC needs, this free download from Eat Drink Chic is pretty darn adorable. You can get it here.

Party Favors
So this might be the cutest idea for a party favor ever... a little homemade tote, a baguette, some fresh berries, and cookies. I think I'll have to steal this idea for sure.

Home Makeover
I guess if your BFF is Martha Stewart and you're her editorial director then it goes with out saying that if you're going to renovate your home it's going to be fabulous. The party that you throw in honor of completing said renovation will be even more fabulous. Case in point... Kevin Sharkey's NYC apt housewarming. They call this a "playful black tie event."
Where am I going to store my vast collection of Hermes box? The shower of course!Who doesn't love a festive game of ping pong at a party? It's a great excuse to use the monogrammed paddles!
... and to keep score on the mirror with Channel lipstick?
Sparkling tower of Oreo cookies you had me at hello.

Emerson Made
So I'm closing in on the last 2 months before THE big day. I'm finding more and more small details (and a few large ones) that I have to deal with. One of the things that is on my very very long list is fun accessories for me and my 4 ladies.
I don't think I can handle how cute everything I've found over at Emerson Made is - a husband and wife team based out of upstate NY. That's Emerson in all of the pictures (along with a few little chicks that live on her farm). She makes everything by hand and styles all of the pictures that her husband Ryan takes. Can't handle it...

My Little Day
I can't get over how adorable the French party supply site My Little Day is.

They have everything a hipster would need to throw a rockin birthday party for their little tater tots - from masks to garlands to paper plates to balloons to party favors.
I mean I don't think I can handle how cute these kids are styled. I die. {images c/o My Little Day}

I Heart Pandora
Pandora only keeps getting better. Not only can you listen to music for free all day everyday and constantly discover new awesome music but now they even show you lyrics!
The other day when I sat down to do some good old book keeping I went to cue up some music. I saw this new little blurb and got intrigued... so I clicked on full lyrics and saw thisGranted this Black Keys song, while awesome, is not a lyrical masterpiece. But if I was curious what Dan Auerbach was saying right after that third 'no' well now I know.
FYI Pandora also has a Blackberry app that streams all your stations for free. This was very useful when I had to drive from San Diego to LA by myself with a sofa sticking out the back of my trunk and I had to drown out the noise of the wind and my pounding heart. Bisous Pandora!!

Signing off
I know posting has been a little slim lately... sorry bout that. I've been slammed with gift order madness (not that I'm complaining). Today I'm off to spend the holidays with my future in-laws in the Bay Area. I wish all of you a safe and happy holiday filled with laughter and good fun. See you soon!!

Eye Candy
It's always inspiring to hear stories of women who started life in one direction and then had the guts to turn around and go in a completely different direction. As someone who has done this, I can testify that it can be daunting. Holly over at Decor8 has a great interview with a very talented, former lawyer and mother of 2 who now runs her own event planning business. Amy Atlas is a NYC-based event planner, with a keen eye who specializes in high end dessert tables. That's right. HIGH END DESSERT TABLES. Sign me up!!!

To Brighten My Day
Yesterday I was not paying attention while working in my studio and I hurt my hand pretty bad. I'm ok... it could have been a lot worse. It took me by surprise more than anything. I just need something to perk me up (and make me forget the throbbing). Stupid UPS cut-off time making me rush. It's your fault!

I'm pretty sure I'm not one of those girls who can pull off these Ban.do corsages, belts, or headbands but I can hold out hope. I really want to be one!
