For months I have been patiently waiting for an LA screening of "Objectified," a documentary by Gary Hustwit (the same man who brought us "Helvetica") about our complex relationship with manufactured objects and, by extension, the people who design them. An LA show was finally announced for July 9th, and I'm going to be out of town. Shaking my fists in the air!Here's a sneak peek.
Oh well... I guess I still win in the end because I'm going to Italy for 2 weeks!!! YAY!!! Time to put my degree to use (I was an English and Italian double major). Let's hope I remember how to say anything other than, "Dov'รจ la gelateria?"
