Laura Stern

I'm loving the work of interior designer Laura Stern. It's a perfect blend of luxe, rustic, industrial, feminine, and warm. I'm dying for those pops of pink in that pale blue bedroom.

Ferm

I've spoken of my love for Ferm before (here). As always... I'm a sucker for well styled pictures.
This sneak peek at their new Fall Collection is getting me all kinds of excited.

Yes Please

I'm loving everything about this space. I mean everything. The rustic hard wood floors, the white brick walls, the arched doorways, the ceiling medallions, the Eames-esque lounger and ottoman, the bright wire side tables, the oversized art on the floor, the lighting fixtures, the tile, the tall windows, etc. etc.

Somewhere over the rainbow

Going back in time a little bit (I've been a bad bad blogger)... when I had my bachelorette party at The Parker Palm Springs  last month, one of the many things that I fell in love with was the kaleidoscope of glass vases and jars in the lobby.

They remind me of the collection that Heather at Frazier & Wing has in her home (you can see my previous post and adoration for her collection here)

Down the rabbit hole with me...

The stunning (but pricey) work of Joe Cariati.

I've now become obsessed with starting my own collection (not that I have any room or need). I've tried eBay except I don't even know what I'm searching for... Colored glass with lids? Swoopy vases? Decanters?  Not helpful search criteria.  I wonder where Jonathon Adler found them all! I know what I'll be on the hunt for next Rose Bowl Flea.

A + A

I'm back after a whirlwind week marrying the love of my life. It was such an amazing few days spent with friends both old and new, family from both near and far. Thanks to everyone who came out to share this magical day with us.

Here are a few sneak peeks taken by the fabulous Preston of Divine Order Photography.

In the next few weeks I'll be posting with more details about all the hard work that went in to creating this wedding. With the help from some friends, we did pretty much all the decorations, favors, and designing ourselves.  Right now I'm just trying to catch my breath and soak it all it. It feels good to be home.

Crickets

Sorry for the radio silence these last few weeks. I'm less than 12 days away from my BIG day and I've been consumed by all things wedding. I've had my hands full making more tissue paper pom poms than I can count, all the wedding favors, the escort cards and their display board, the hotel gift bags, the dessert buffet, etc. etc. Not to mention going to dress fittings, planning the rehearsal dinner, transportation for our guests, doing the seating chart, picking music for the ceremony... The list goes on and on. I see why people hire wedding planners. It's like a full time job.
I promise to banish the crickets and return to my regular posting soon. In the meantime, and in honor of my silence, here's a little video of Buddy Holly and The Crickets performing Peggy Sue on the Arthur Murray Dance Party (get it? Crickets? I was going to post a picture of an actual cricket but they were all fairly disgusting looking up close). The quality isn't great but you've got to look at the ball gowns the girls are wearing.
